Welcome to my home page!
Welcome to my home page! My name is Julie Holderbaum and this is my 22nd year of teaching at Minerva High School. (I was previously Mrs. Rine; my first husband Mike passed away in October 2006 from brain cancer. This summer, I got remarried. My new husband Nick came with two daughters who are former students Karleigh and Kelseigh, and a chocolate Lab named Maggie.) Prior to teaching at MHS, I taught for one year in southern Ohio near Portsmouth. I am from Ohio originally, but my family moved to North Dakota and I graduated from West Fargo High School. I attended one year of college at the University of North Dakota before transferring to The Ohio State University. I graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in English Education and a minor in Family Relations and Human Development. I obtained my Masters Degree (Masters in the Art of Teaching) from Marygrove College in 2000. Currently, I teach Honors English I, Honor English II Literature, Honors American Lit, and English III. My daughter Jamie is a freshman at MHS this year.
